The executive coaching process
Nell customises her approach to suit every leader she works with to ensure you achieve the outcomes you are looking for.
In the first session, Nell will focus on getting to know you, what’s important to you, when you’re at your best and what your challenges are.
Nell offers the option to meet with a client’s one-up Leader. This can help to calibrate coaching goals in context as well as clarify and agree on objectives. This can be very helpful in engaging a more Senior Leader in the process and in soliciting quality feedback. In the case of CEOs, the Chair of their Board can also be involved.
At the end of your first session and every session thereafter with Nell, you will reflect on what you have discovered. Nell always concludes the session by asking you to reflect and playback what’s been helpful and asks you to articulate actions and steps you are prepared to take to move your situation forward.
These actions are revisited at the next coaching session.
Following this process positively supports progress and keeps the coaching focussed on key outcomes.
Effective group coaching sessions
The work of leadership is a team sport. Therefore how senior leadership teams operate with one another is the key to their success.
Nell’s method of group coaching brings senior leaders together to help foster better dialogue, openness, trust, collaboration and focus. The group can focus on particular values and behaviours they want to get better at. Or they can participate in a strategy or planning session.
This style of group coaching that Nell has developed includes one or two facilitators. It has very little ‘theory’. Instead Nell sets it up as an opportunity for groups to talk about what is truly important to them in context. Resulting in greater clarity, trust, candor and collegiate relationships.
