Why leadership programs for women?


 Why do we still need programs for women?

Don’t ‘Women only’ programs widen the divide?

The reality is, we SHOULDN’T need programs for women!  But, the truth is we still have a gender pay gap and there are less than 50% of women CEOs, company directors, and executive leaders in most organisations.  

The lived experience of professional women is they still have to navigate gender bias and stereotypes. They still experience ‘everyday sexism’ and a number of other gender-specific challenges at work. They can manifest such as the ‘double bind’ where women are often subconsciously held to confusing and contradictory standards.

Nell’s programs take an intersectional feminist lens and create forums where diverse women can discuss the kinds of key challenges they face and how to navigate them effectively.

Activating women in leadership


The Activate Leadership for Women was developed by Nell as in introductory program for women wanting to step into leadership roles or for those who are a new leader.

This program focuses on the foundational skills for developing skills and knowledge to be effective leaders. At the core of the Activate Program are four key areas of development. They are:

  • Directing your career forward
  • Developing greater confidence and presence
  • Increasing impact and influence
  • Developing and maintaining professional resilience

Women completing this program find it provides them with the essential skills to support them at the start of their leadership journey.

Women accelerating their careers


The Accelerate Leadership Program for Women has been created by Nell to empower women to advance in their careers. it is a comprehensive program containing a series of specific workshops relevant to women in leadership.

The workshops cover various aspects of leadership development. They help women to:

  • understand their strengths
  • plan their career paths
  • improve communication skills
  • develop a strong leadership presence
  • build resilience in themselves and others

Many women who have completed this program have seen significant career growth. This makes the Accelerate Program a valuable tool for women looking to advance their careers as well as for organisations aiming to promote gender diversity in leadership positions.
